Worship
Here's what you can expect when you joint us for Sunday worship at First
Congregational:

When you arrive
We hold our services in the airy, modern sanctuary in our A-frame building at 171 West
Pulteney Street in Corning. When you arrive, you'll receive a warm greeting on your
way into the church, and directions to the sanctuary. If you have children, our greeters
will help you understand the options available to them during worship. These include
nursery care for infants and toddlers beginning at 10:15. Children ages three and older
are invited to begin worship in the sanctuary, and may leave for church school
following the children's talk, which we call Kinder Tinder.

As you enter the sanctuary, an usher will give you the Sunday bulletin, which contains
an outline of the worship service and many announcements about church activities.
Please sit anywhere you like, and enjoy the organ music.
Whether you are a long-time churchgoer
seeking a new home, or trying a church
on for size for the very first time, we
want you to feel comfortable and
welcome.

After worship
When the service concludes, we invite all to join us for coffee,
conversation and light snacks in our Fellowship Hall.
During worship
Worship leaders and the pastor will guide you through the
service, following the order listed on the bulletin. We offer many
opportunities for participation throughout, including time to
greet one another, Kinder Tinder, hymn-singing, morning
offering, monthly communion, and a time for sharing
celebrations and concerns. Our service usually lasts just a little
over an hour.
