Our Denomination

First Congregational Church is part of the United Church of Christ, a denomination of
5,600 churches and over 1.2 million members. The UCC is one of the most diverse
Christian denominations in the United States. While we are united, we are also evolved
from a variety of church traditions. As a consequence, our members have the freedom
and responsibility to use the gifts of our minds, the devotion of our hearts, and the
guidance of the historic traditions of the universal church, to develop in a faith that is
meaningful to each of us as unique and valued individuals.
