Christian Education

At First Congregational, our Christian Education leaders are committed to creating an
environment in which everyone, and especially every child, feels welcome and safe to
worship, to inquire, to celebrate, to build relationships, and to belong - and by doing to,
to grow in faith and discipleship.

Worship
We welcome people of all ages to share the good news during worship. Child-centered
parts of our service include activity bags for young children and a weekly Kinder Tinder
children's message. Interested children may also serve as acolytes and readers. Our
annual Christmas pageant is a favorite event, and offers children an opportunity to lead
the entire worship service through drama and music.

Whether you are a long-time churchgoer
seeking a new home, or trying a church on
for size for the very first time, we want
you to feel comfortable and welcome.

Church School
We offer church school programs for all ages, from
weekly Sunday school classes to adult education
opportunities. Our Sunday school classes are for
preschoolers through middle schoolers, and are held
during worship, immediately following the Kinder
Tinder. Our classrooms are bright and cheerful, and
dedicated to our children

Confirmation classes and youth activities occur periodically for older middle school and high school students.

Safety
The safety of our children is a priority at First Congregational. All of our volunteers receive training in youth
protection, and youth protection policies and procedures assure the security of the young people in our care.
